You do not need a referral from your primary care provider to see a behavioral health provider. For information about your benefits and finding a provider:

  • UC Blue & Gold contact MHN — Call 800-663-9355

  • Kaiser Covered employees have two options:

        1. Call your local Kaiser clinic, or 800-464-4000 after hours

        2. Optum — Call 888-440-8225

PPO

Some services require preauthorization. CORE, UC Care, and UC Health Savings Plan (HSP) members have access to both in and out-of-network providers. Keep in mind that your cost will be higher when using out-of-network providers.

Employee Assistance Program


The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides complimentary confidential counseling and referral services to all Berkeley Lab employees, Postdocs, and their spouses/domestic partners and dependents over 18. Non-employees, such as UC faculty, graduate student research assistants (GSRAs), and students, need to reach out to their appropriate campus resources. The program offers support in a wide range of issues, including but not limited to work-related stress, depression, and anxiety.

Sign up for the free myStrength app

  • Click 'Wellness resources' (on the menu bar above the main menu bar)

  • 'Digital apps for a healthy state of mind.' Click the 'Get started'

  • Scroll down to myStrength. Click 'Get myStrength'


Health Net Members

  • Login to Healthnet.com

  • Navigate to Wellness Center

  • Click on myStrength

  • Scroll down to "Sign up today!"

  • Click on "Health Net myStrength" portal (you will get a message stating you are now leaving Healthnet.com)

  • (You will exit to the myStrength page)

  • Click "Sign up"

  • Note: the registration page will ask you for your Healthnet Member ID number
